BENQ DW822A DVD+RW 8X4X12 DVD-RW 4X2X12 CDRW 24X10X40 IDE 8MB Some Questions: -1-Is the above CD Writer the only CD Writer who company (BenQ) legitimately backs up their promiss to provide upgradable firmware to become Dual layer capable? -2-Does anyone actually own this drive? -3-How well does it work if so? -4-Is it worth purchasing, or is there a better drive with DL prommised firmware upgrade -5-Is there better drive all in all, under 200$ Canadian (though much preferably a DL capable drive, s good 8x+/- drive may suffice)$ I need to make a final decision within 24 hours.
1.Currently it sounds the only drive claimed for it 2.I did 3.Pretty Good and book type is especially perfect as well as Qvideo. I do not can't test K-Probe but everything looks fine. 4.I think so personally by my experience, and by reading lots discussion look like BenQ 822A/NEC 2500A are most recommended. 5.I live in Europe so not sure of it. Good luck!
