    Hello,

I have a BenQ DW 1620 drive and it will not recognize any DVDR media after I burned a backup copy of No Country For Old Men. It will read commercial CDs and burned CDs...it will read commercial DVDs, but it will not read DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs at all.

I'm thinking there was some malicious code on the NCFOM DVD that disables the DVD drive from reading DVDR media.

Has anyone experienced the same? I'm not sure what to do to fix my drive.

    Thanks,
    G=

to clarify: i was able to back up No Country for Old Men, but i noticed drive issues when backing up Sleuth. Not sure which is to blame, but it has to be software related. I can't think of any other reason a drive will read any CD and commercial DVDs, but not DVDRs.
