Hi guys, I'm wondering what the best 1-1 burning software is for pc-cd? I have an original pc game for the kids... Tonka Town for pc.... and this thing will not run when burned. It burns fine with nero, and will install off of the burned cd, but will not run the game. It just starts to load and then hangs with a little cd icon spinning for about 15 seconds and then it gives up. I tried to burn an image and Daemon will not run the game from the image either. Any suggestions?
my vote would go for Alcohol 120. But there are some games that can't be backed up. My 2 year old plays Reader Rabbit, and I've tried Alcohol 120 (w/ every setting), BlindWrite 4.5.7 and BlindWrite 5, and CloneCD, and GamesXCopy and none will work.
Thanks, i've used Alcohol 120% in the past but haven't used it in awhile. I will try it. Damn those kids games and their elite anti-burning technologies, lmao. btw: i have copied Reader Rabbit successfully with Nero-- copy entire disk-- quick copy on the fly..... of course there are probably several editions of RR.
Yea, what I'm trying to do is make a successful image. So I can just mount it on a virtual drive. So my wife or kids don't have to handle the discs.
Try this: Run clonyxxl on the rr disk and find out what protection is on the disk Then use alcohol and you can make image and mount it to virtual drive or Burn using the protection that was detected. I have used this method for my PC games They are all protected different (starforce, securom, datasafe) Clonyxxl will detect and under alcohol select the same protection as Clony detected and use alcohol to burn so the program will believe is a 1:1 copy with the same protection the cd-checks for. If you need any help just pm me.
lol ... I usually use ARay, but I'll give it a try. Don't think it will work cause I've tried every setting in Alcohol. I mean every one!!
