ok, honest i've read the FAQ but it must be my age or something. I have a nice Sony IP7 camcorder .. i have transferred video via firewire (adaptec duo connect) from the micromv format via movieshaker software and then exported as high quality mpeg2 format to my hard drive. Using mediastream Neodvdstandard 4 to write a dvd+rw disk the picture is 'ok' but i have no sound?. playback is on a sony dvd player dvp-s715 (top box 3-4 years ago!) I know ac3 is not supported as standard (£30 quid'ish upgrade option) but i did expect normal mpeg2 sound to work .. what am i missing. Also can anyone suggest the 'best' editing sofware' and 'best' dvd authoring software ... i noticed via neo a 3-4 second wait between chapters even when writing high quality vob's Regards.
I've got the same camera, what I have started doing is convert the mmv files from movieshaker to mpeg2 using the following freeware program. http://www.geocities.com/jrowe88/ I then author a dvd using neodvd and it works fine on my Phillips standalone which is 4 years old. Hope this helps
