Hi, basically the best choice would have been the R4 if you have a DS/DS Lite, but seem as the team stopped updating it, i would go with the M3. But if you have purchased a new DSi get the Acekard 2i as it seems to be the best for the Dsi at the moment.

There was a time when the R4 was the best. But that time has long past.

The generally considered best card for DS/DSlite is the cycloDS. M3Real is probably the second best, but do be careful to not get a clone though. The clones say M3adaptes on it and the real ones say M3adapter.

For the DSi the best choices are the Acekard2i or the DSTTi. You definatly want to avoid the R4i because they have a warning right on the website that they are NOT updatable.

If it's an original DS or DS lite then I fully recommend the CycloDS Evolution. I've had mine for about a month and I can honestly say it's one of the best things I have ever purchased!

I have been using the Edge card as of recently for almost two years and it has never failed on me, pretty much very reliable.
I used to use the M3 Simply but they stopped making them and their is no more support for
If you can still find it, the G6 is also a very good card with internal memory (its only drawback)
I recently got an Acekard 2 for my DS and have just ordered an Acekard 2.1 for the DSI
For some reason, I have been burned a few times with the DSTT -ADV, they seem to crash every so often so I returned those, maybe I just got a bad batch

They are but I have had some that were real good. Keep in mind the Edge cards also are considered clones of the Cycloid Ds card but much cheaper

Cyclo Ds - pretty much seen everywhere as the best card - however this comes at a price.

Edge - this is concidered a clone of the cyclo - lacks some features but not a bad card.

M3 Real - considered most places as a pretty close 2nd to the cyclo, using the new firmware Sakura.

DSTT - Not bad, however clones / fakes now appear to outnumber real units, has a reputation of blowing DS fuses - small but is more than other cards

R4 - used to be the best all rounder for the price, however with the original now dead and 14 other copies around, the choice only if you are brave or know exactly what you are getting. Avoid

Agreed, which is part of the reason I stuck around with the Edge, the Acekars 2 and the M3 Real/Simply as my favorite cards. I had ordered like 5 of the DSTT cards but found out were fakes and messing up every few game plays so I got to return them for store credit.
I am now using both the Acekard 2 for DS and the Acekard 2.1 for my new DSI and I love both, I like how fast and inexpensive they are

so many carts around it's hard finding a real cart lucky or not ordered loads of dstt and a few dstti not from dealextreme but www.focalprice.com and they all work the two from deal extreme are fake don't work and can't get refund they won't answer email, so what ever you order don't limit your chances of success avoid dealextreme.con
