Best brand disc for softmod xbox

    which is the best disc to burn to for a softmodded xbox? i've been using kypermedia dvd+r burn in 2x. When i play the disc through my softmod xbox sometime when a character is talking the voice skipped. Also, which is better dvd+r or dvd-r? thanks.

    dvd-r is the perfered choice on most forums

    I've been using dvd-r too. The voice still get cut off sometime, but its seem like the loading is faster than dvd+r.

    If your Burner Supports Bitsetting AKA Book Type Setting

    Set the Booktype on your DVD+R discs to DVD-ROM when you burn them..
    The System will read the disc alot better because it will be fooled into think a DVD Rom has been inserted...

    tmfloria i have no idea what a Bitsetting AKA Boook type setting is? can you explain to me in more detail, like is it some sorts of a burning software or is it the dvd burner?

    The Best type of Disc 2 use is a DVD-R either TDK or Verbatim

    Thanks for the info. But, i've find the problem. It's my dvd burner, somehow 2x is not as good as 4x. Now, i burned all my games in 4x worked like a charm.
