    Hi,
Im very new to digital video cameras but am looking to digitize all of my old tapes. After reading quite a bit, Ive found that for a true digital master i need it in DV format. After doing more research for analog to dv converters, i stumbled across cameras that have pass through functions. Now, which of these cameras is best for passing through? Any opinions greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    I completely disagree...
I have been using a Sony PC110 DV camera to digitize all of my Hi-8 tape. The result is great. Actually, I was already half way editing my movies form Hi-8 tapes using an analog capture card, when I bought this camera (in 2001) and when I found out about the pass-through option I re-edited all of my movies...
