I want to be able to capture video from my iPod videos and I need to know what the best capture device would be. I have composite cables that go from the headphone jack on my iPod and plug into my TV and works just fine. Here's my questions:

    1. What is the best capture device for the iPod-to-computer?

    2. Is it better that the video capture device is internal or USB?

    3. With these capture devices, will it capture the video's true dimensions, meaning that if the video is meant to be 640x288, is that what the capturing device and program will capture it as, or is it going to capture it at a default setting automatically?

    4. How will the audio capture. Will it capture the audio in its true form, or will it be altered because of the composite cables I'm using and because it's coming from an iPod?

    5. I've used a capture device before with for TV capturing and for some reason the left side of the video was cut off and left a black vertical line. Was I doing something wrong or was it just the type of device I used? I believe it was a Dazzle 800, USB device.

Huh? Can't you just copy them from the iPod to your computer? I suppose if you can't, you could get a DVD recorder.

I rather not use a DVD recorder. Since I'd have to rip it back on the PC anyways, I want to just keep it PC as much as I can.
