I am trying to convert some of my vhs tapes to dvd and I am using the digital vcr program that came with my ati video card. I can capture the video with mpeg2 but my only option for capturing the audio is pcm which makes the files sizes bigger than I want. Do any of you guys know of a capture prog that will allow me to capture the audio with mp2 or mp3?
    Thanks

Well, mp3 would be a bad choice if you're creating DVDs. You can use tmpgenc or lame to convert the audio to mp2 prior to importing into your authoring program. Some authoring software will convert the pcm audio to ac3 (scenarist, dvdt!).
