i am getting illegal disc error and status 3 error. have tried both 8x and 4x burn and also have reduced size sonot to use to end of disk space.. however i din't save the lower disc space usage log but here isthe 4x speed at 4.37 out of 4.38 GB and the 8x speed is exact same log also. i have read severalother threads and some sugest lowering burn speed lowerig disc space used and use different disc. i am using atm Disc Manufacturer ID: <RITEKF> which is 4.7gb/120min gigaware dvd-r so what is the best disc to use? like top 5
You can either post the Nero log of the failed burn to see if it turns up a cause, or it may be faster to save the output files to the hard drive instead of burning immediately. Select the HD instead of the burner at the burning step. Try using Imgburn to burn to the media. Set the burning speed to 4x. The link also has a tutorial on how to burn the folder to disk. 'Verbatim' brand is a consistently good media choice.
