What's the best DVD player that plays Taiyo Yuden DVD-R disc and RiData DVD+RW? The DVD-R's work in one of my stand-alone dvd players (a GPX model) but doesn't work in the other (Panasonic model). However my DVD+RW's don't work in any of my stand-alone dvd players. Let me know your recommendations. Thanks.

I like using Sony DVD players, they seem to play everything. But you won't find one for under $100.

I'm really looking for a player that plays xvid, vcd, svcd, etc ... saw the Philips DVP642 thread, and not sure about it, since it's been dated. Are there any newer models out that someone has that is exceptional, that plays almost anything like the phillips player does?
