Hello folks I'm seeking advice because I'm planning on purchasing a DVD R for backing up my DVD Movies and PS2 games. Can anyone recommend a good DVD R that is a Sony Brand that can perform the jobs listed above? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thx again all!
Also, if anyone has any other recommendations of other Brand DVD Rs (such as Pioneer, Panasonic, HP, etc)please feel free to reply your experience with them! Thx again!
I have a Lite On LDW-411s, at x-mas only $90.00 with a rebate 4x burns on everything except dvd-rw(2.4)NEVER had a problim only made 1 coaster and that one was my fault.
I think it will depend on what you plan on doing with the copies. If duplicated and sent out to friends, Ricoh DVD+R style recorders are best compatability with bitsetting mode on to "DVD Rom". They include NEC 1100/1000/1200 or HP models 200i & 300i. There are more.. For burning fast to DVD-R, I like the pioneer DVR-107D. The DVD+Rs made on this pioneer recorder are not very compatable with some older models. And you can't change bitsetting to "DVD Rom" on it.
Stay with the major manufacturers: Pioneer, Sony, or Plexor. Personally, I'd go with the new pioneer A07.
(BUNDY) : I agree with mfurj the Sony 510A is a good burner retails with latest 10d firmware, use good media would suggest Ritek -R GO4 dye I like the white top printables. Ispy
