Depends what you are looking for value for money or top of the range.Value for money are like your Lite-on and NEC drives.Top of the range are considered to be like your plextors Sony's and so on.What you want to look at is what you are wanting to pay and what you want from the drive. The NEC ND-3500 looks really good value for money at a affordable price.
if you are running Windows XP or 2000 2k or 98 winme try getting nero Ahead its great i burn with that every file out there well just about all the trick is a lot of guy's don't look in the lower address in the window for what files to or what you want to burn like cue bin files it will burn the full movie for you not in parts if the movie is to big then program it to split the file in two if need be hope that helps you.also Quick Par is the best par file to use for fixing any bin file if by any chance you download a bn file that don't have the cue contact me at nick17312@hotmail.com i'll send you a file that will make it for you works great.enjoy
nick1731 sounds like a really good drive? i think you may have posted this to the wrong thread my old mate John179
I have had no issues with my NEC ND 2510a... just kinda sad i didnt wait the extra month and got the 3500 for about 20-30 bucks more.
I have had the pleasure and fun of owning 7 different DVD burners HP 100i HP 300i HP 420i Optorite 203 BenQ 800A BenQ 822A BenQ 1610 Of all the above the 300i has been the main workhorse over 600 burns until the new BenQ drives. Currently for the money the BenQ in Canada is the best value. The DW1610 is on sale at Future Shop for $129.00 Canadian with a $30 rebate net price of $99.00. Not bad for a 16x burner. yangster Considering your computer I would look for 4x burners. Check the recommended system requirements before buying. Some of the new faster burners need P4 processors to work properly I hope this helps
Hi yangster Depending were you live will influemce how to locate a 4x burner. I do know the BenQ DW800A and the DW822A would work in your machine. I have one in a PIII 800 machine I hope this helps
Hi yangster I know in Canada Future Shop has the BenQ burners but not the Best Buy stores (Best Buy owns Future Shop). Both Circuit City and Best Buy has the Liteon 8x burner for $120. It should work in your machine I hope this helps
Try newegg.com. Hard to beat these prices. Just bought mine haven't received it yet but I know alot of people who buy from them. Good Luck!
