    Hi guys,
I wanted to download a utility to synchronize with my hotmail web account.
was looking at either Mozilla Thunderbird or outlook 2007 or anything else that you guys may recommend.
i would need something that is queit light too as i am only running a pentium 3.

is reading your emails through a desktop client any safer? would it effect the spam filters etc?

    Thanks in advance
    Mubs

This email syncs up with Hotmail: http://www.gmx.com/#folder~1 ,just had to use it to stabilize Hotmail. Opera's email does as well, don't know about light though, uses a lot of RAM when open but runs fast.

however i have come across one problem.
when it transferred my emails from my hotmail account to the thunderbird client, it put all of my emails into the deleted items on my webmail.
and i want them back but there is no quick way to restore the thousands of emails!}!!!
    please help somebody,
    Regards,
    Mubs

Check in Hotmail itself, they still may be there or in Hotmail's deleted in which case just choose move to. Hotmail deleting emails on its own is why I tied it to another in the first place.

Sorry, the only method I know of is to check the sort by box above the emails and choose move to but that will only move the displayed emails 20-25 at a time.
