    Hi!

I would like to copying my DV films to my computer, editing them, put on some music and then burn them to an DVD, and I want the best quality! So which file formats should I use, mpeg2?

Ie. Is it possible to download from DV camera to Mpeg2 and editing in mpeg2 (smaller files) and then burn to DVD.
Or. do I have to download from DV to AVI then edit, encode to mpeg2 and burn?

Is there any fileformat considerations I need to understand for using audio files, or is mp3 good enought?

Thanx! (been looking in glossary before asking.....)

Don't edit in mpeg2 - you'll lose quality and hair from frustration.

I would capture in DV codec, then encode the edited result to mpeg2, then author.
