I have a 70min video casette that I would like to transfer to DVD-R disc,in the best possible definition.Using my Winfast card I encoded it to an mpeg2 size file of 3.32gb,but I think it looks worse than the original. Can anyone recommend some settings (bitrate, sound settings,PCM etc)that would bring out it its best possible reproduction to make the most of the dvd size & the fact it is poor stereo quality?
I would like to be able to replay it on my Panasonic dvd player.

Thanks junior, regardless that I've read some of the guides it would never occurred to me without your insightful post.I was hoping considering that i have encoded the movie several times without much improvement that someone might have a few tips to make the most of a 4.7gb disc & a movie only 70 mins long so I might be able to extract the best possible copy.Considering the original is,nt that good anyway.Keep up the good work.
P.s was just reading your sig "flamer, leechers, dumb questions? WOOOARRRR!!!!
