decrypter is not a great burning program. Most will burn with nero or recordnow but others are usable.
minidvd are used by camcorders and digital cameras as a storage medium. They are dvd format but in smaller size--?3" instead of 5". JVC and panasonic makes camcorders that burn to them instead of miniDV and Sony makes a camera that burns them instead of a memory card. Analogous to the little cd's that people use.
The term MiniDVD can be confusing, because it is also a recordign standard under which a standard DVD titleset is burned to a regular CDR. (Not a very good format, however, as they don't work in almost any standalones.) Jose3526 seems to be talking about regular DVD-Rs that just have a smaller diameter (like the mini-CDRs that you can buy with about 200MB capacity). Assuming there is no other difference besides the size, these should burn just like a regular DVD with a regular burning program (like Nero). Just pay attention to the max file size!
discmania, if you looked at my post more closely, that is what I described. the smaller size dvd known as minidvd.
