Best progs ...

    I would like to know what are the best programs/suites that you use or advise me to use to do the following :

    -> video capture (DV AVI) from a Canopus ADVC-100

    -> video editing

    -> video encoding (AVI -> MPEG2)

    -> DVD authoring (nice menus and chapters)

    -> Dual Layer DVD burning for reading on a desktop DVD player

    TMPGEnc is a good one.



    TMPGEnc DVD Author and DVD Lab are both outstanding.



    Nero 6 and Copy to DVD would suit your purposes quite nicely :)

    If you want a Package that will capture from the ADVC-100 and do Professinal Quality editing and Transitions and encode to Mpeg2 and Dolby 5.1 AC3 and author to DVD with Menu"s and Chapters then check out the "Sony Vegas Video 5/DVD Architect 2" Package...In my opinion it is one of the best NLE"s and easier to learn than Most Programs Like Premier and ADID DV....
