What software will provide the lowest loss in quality. I currently use DIVo which is a wonderful app for only 30k. It does about 1 Gig every 4-5 minutes which is fine because the resolution on the .avi file it produces is really clear. Is there other software that captures at an even higher resolution?
If you are using DVIO you're not capturing, but transferring. See this article: http://www.digitalvideoclub.com/basics/transfer.php The transfer process is completelty digital: bytes are read from the tape and stored in the file. There is no conversion whatsoever, so whatever program you use, quality will be the same.
