alright thanks, thats exactly what i needed. So how long does this process take and hows the quality afterwards? edit: does it matter which divx version i get? 6.3 okay?
It takes all night. The quality is excellent (not as good as DVD quality, but it's superb). As long as you have DivX 5 or better, you're straight.
i havent done much dvd-avi,but i use autogknot, and that seems very easy to use,and gives good results but like you say,it can take forever @gogochar,having looked at your guide, you can use windows paint to add pictures,(thats what i use) ctrl/print screen windows paint/edit/make changes etc ctrl/v save as gif upload on image shack. the only problem i ran into when converting, was the output file size, sometimes it was impossible to achieve the target of 700mb,due to the film being to detailed (i.e lots of action scenes) good luck
