Forgive me if i am in the wrong forum, so maybe someone can either point me in the right direction or help me I have a movie on my hard drive that is AVI format and another that is MPEG format. How do I burn them to a DVD. I downloaded DVD shrink but I don't think that is the right software. Also, will one software work on all formats (like avi, mpeg) or do i need different programs for each file type? Thanks for your patience and any help you can offer.
hi you need both files to be in the same format to be able to burn them to the same dvd. do you know what your mpeg file is? if not just reconvert it as well as your avi with the program below and then once they are in an mpeg2 format you will be able to burn them to disc (the same disc as long as they dont exceed 4300meg) http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm see how you go and if a problem arises just repost and ilkk see if we can get you further along in your project andmerr
hi what i meant to say and i guess i was not too clear was that the movie i have is in both formats...they are not part of one movie. so in either case I have an avi movie and an mpeg movie. i would like to burn one or the other to a dvd. i do not need to combine them. so, which format is easier to burn to a dvd and of course, what program do i need? is it not as simple as taking the movie off of the hard drive and just burning it to a dvd? thanks
did you try the program suggested!!!!! It will convert both files to mpeg2, which is the format you require.Do them separately or do them together it doesnt matter which and then burn them to dvd using shrink in re author mode or nero recode or utilising the burning application within divx to dvd. Your choice but i thought you would of tried them first before answering........................
hi i am presently converting the movie using divx to dvd converter. after this is done, can i use a program called copy2dvd to just burn the output file to a dvd? i know you mentioned nero and something else but copy2dvd was a choice to use in the divx to dvd converter program. i am just looking for the easiest, less stressful way to do this. thanks
