I recently got some footage converted from Betacam SP (Aussie) to an AVI format so I could edit it on my home PC monster. The only problem is, it has glitches every couple of seconds. Digital hiccups and the guy who dubbed it for me said it worked fine on his puter - must be mine. I have a plenty fast enough processor, plenty of RAM, HD etc etc and I'm getting frustrated. Could this be a codec thing do you think? I have it as an avi file and he also dubbed it as a file without a file name eg - not an .avi or .mov etc. Any help would be legendry!!! Cheers Tiffytoff
There are several things you can try: 1) Play it with different programs to see if the problem persists 2) If yes, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) to see if the problem would go away 3) If not, try run the avi through a video converting program (you can use the same settings or convert it into e.g. mpeg) to see if things are better 4) If not, shout 'help' again! *_*
Help again!! I played the problem footage on many differing media players - I downloaded the K-lite codec pack - I then tried to convert the footage in to an Mpeg and other types of files - I then downloaded Gspot to see if I had the right codecs and it said that i do...now I want to scream....or cry....or play fetch with the disc and my dog!! The file is 598mb - i'm happy to send it to someone to look at if someone is happy to check it out.....I'm just reallllllly frustrated. Any help would be greatful Cheers tiffytoff
