    I have everything hooked up correctly, from my DirectTV through the ILO DVDR05 to the TV. I cannot get a picture, when I start to setup a future recording on a DVD-RW. Otherwise, the picture is fine. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

    Obviously you predicted correctly!! Maybe try in the Home Theatre forum, there are several headings.

    hmmmm, could be due to copywrite protections or the choice of media you are using is not recognized by the buner, but i think it is due to the latter of the 2.

    in fact, i have dish network with it's own dvr built in and the only way to extract the files is to remove the hard drive and load a program, connect it to the PC and upload the files to the PC's hdd.
