Good afternoon all, I'm going to show my age here, built this computer a year ago and working fine. Had to change out hard drive and re-install window XP HOME. Now for the life of me, I can not find in BIOS where to turn off the on-board sound card thats built into the mother board so my Creative Sound card will work. Please humor me and then make all the fun of me you want.. Thanks for any info JOBRLA
Just what I was thinking.. Isn't it possible to use device manager, disable the onboard and use the pci instead?
Thanks for the info crew, for the life of me I remember disabling it in the start up BIOS, but than again, age is a terrrrrrable thing.
check in the motherboard manual. also check in the bios under peripherals or something like that to disable onboard sound. what is the make & model# of the motherboard?
