2 Problems, really. Any help is greatly appreciated: 1. Processor speed. I have an Athlon XP 2500+. Without touching the BIOS, it runs at 1.01GHZ. Once I change the CPU setting in the BIOS, it recognizes it as the 1.84GHZ 2500+. However, if I reboot the machine, it changes back to 1.01GHZ. When I go to the BIOS, the CPU setting s unchanged. For some reason, the frequency reverts back, and the only way to fix, is to clear the CMOS, change the BIOS setting, and start again. Though, when I reboot, it all happens again. Very strange. 2. CD Burner No longer functions. I can use it as a regular CD drive, but I can't burn CD's. Iv'e tried different SW, DMA IS enabled, and I have to kill whatever SW that I use, with the task manager. Another strange one. The drive DOES work with other machines, as well as with the old motherboard. Also, have a look in the manual and see if there is any statement relating jumper configuration to set the ratio or FSB up, as this board may require to be manually configured via jumpers on the motherboard.........
that can e and option too. hey one question try replacing the board/bios battery maybe is damage so it cant save your config
