Some torrents might "be dead" READ http://www.mininova.biz/howto.php?ref= for a brief intro on the subject. There are plenty of resources available to find reliable "torrents". But sites claiming that they have 120,000 torrents probably have "alot of dead torrents"... so if file one didnt do the trick, move on and find another file. Trying to get something to work which unfixable is a waste of time.

    just my 2 cents

Make sure that your router's firewall and your windows firewall is not blocking anything. Thats the first thing you should look into. Second off, make sure that there is a seeder for your file. A seeder is someone that has the full download so you can get the whole file. A leecher is someone trying to download or someone who has only part of the file. So you definitely want to make sure that there is at LEAST one seeder.

I'll try posting my tutorial somewhere on this site when I get time to revise it. It tells you how to set up your router, what bittorrent client to use, what ports to use, and what sites to use.
