BitLord is based on the stolen source code of version 0.56 of the BitComet core, which is very outdated. Because of this, certain bugs that have been resolved in later versions of BitComet are still prevalent in BitLord. Also, along with advertisements placed on the BitLord interface, BitComet's list of BitTorrent sites is replaced with a search box that leads only to affiliates of BitLord. BitLord has also been reported to contain adware, however this is not true for everybody. Also, Bitlord is banned by certain torrent trackers due to the fact that it "cheats" to get more connections and download speed from the same seed.
