right, i have pioneer dvr-103 and some dvds + cds are not copatable with my burner, i heard that bitsetter solves this problem. Does any1 know anything about this? And where can i get the software because the only mirror aint working... thanks
From what I've read about bitsetting (not much), it won't do what you want. The idea is to take DVD+R/+RW and create a disc that fools a player into thinking it is a normal DVD-ROM instead, allowing it to be recognized by hardware that doesn't recognize the +R/+RW format otherwise. It doesn't make blank media ny more compatible and it doesn't apply to -R burners (like the DVR-103) at all This link explains it in a little more detail: http://www.dvdplusrw.org/Article.asp?mid=-1&sid=-1&aid=42
ohh, i get it now, thanks... is there any way i can get my burner to recognise other media brands? because it works fine with some and just spinns around and does nothing with others, even cds...
If it doesn't have the most recent firmware, you could try that. Other than that I have no idea. My first burner was a DVR-104, so I'm not real familiar with anything older.
i got the updated, it did not work, il try and contact som 1 from packard bell hardware board, they should know 103 in more detail... but thanks anyway
