the problem i got is this.
i fudged up a softmod on an xbox and didnt back up the hd when i did it. the way i knackered it up was by using the format option.

what i now need to know is this

i have now installed a Xecuter2.6CE and flashed the bios ok and can boot a slayers disk but nothing else but the hd comes up as unlock error when looking at the settings in slayers i have tried the unlock option and the lock option but cant get it to work.

i have also tried restore hd back to ms original but that didnt work either.

so could i still use something like xbox hdm the restore the drive the only problem being i have no eeprom and now i have a chip is it possible to get the eeprom using config magic on the slayers disk?

sorry for all the questions but its driving me nuts

    thanks in advance

On slayer disk which options do you have? Like format, install ms dash, install other dash, install apps, install emulators, etc... Just list them all.

    i already have slayers 2.6

i have access to everything but video switch mode on slayers (because i didnt edit the ini)

just tried config magic but just comes up with slayers background and "Loading..." in bottom right corner of the screen.
might need to actually connect to pc for it to continue loading

when looking at the settings for the hd in slayers i get "unlock error" and the partitions just show "0" which i presume the drive isnt fatx formatted and why i was thinking of using xbox hdm to restore (which i have done to restore someone elses drive but they did have an eeprom)

i have done loads of softmods before and know a fair deal about modding but im stumped on this, i am more used to doing ps2 mods

    regards
