My friend from taiwan left me the R4 when they returned home. It worked fine on their system but when I installed new games and put it in my dsl I get the R4 revolution for DS logo in green on the top screen and on the bottom screen I get the same text again in a green band at the top of the bottom screen but underneath is I get a box with a blue band at the top with !!! in it and then a strange 7 character error message in chinese (?)

I have formatted the 2gb kingston micro sd card (twice)

I have downloaded update 1.15, extracted it and put _system_ (folder), moonshl (folder), _DS_Menu.DAT and _DS_MSHL.NDS in the root directory. I also have a folder called ROMS which has my games in it - but have tried using the r4 both with and without this folder with no success.

I am totally out of ideas so if you can help - I'd really appreciate it!

    Thanks
    Kayt

Hi, i'd try deleting the system folders and replace them with the earlier firmware , it might be that the themes folder is missing from the system file. Try that.
