black screen on bootup

    Hi guys

    i have an xbox with an aladin chip + 120gb hdd
    knocked it with my foot 1 nite but it seemed to be fine, so i continued to play it
    switched it off
    2 weeks later i went to switch it on and all i get is a black screen
    when i press the dvd drive button it flashes red/orange and doesnt open

    any idea's ?

    hey open your xbox up and check if you modchip has come loose or any loose connection or mabey the pins check that they are all the same hieght

    hey mate

    i did that but while fiddling 1 of the wires off the modchip came off
    im just going to take it in to get looked at

    in the end i may just end up buying an xbox 360
