blocked by network!

    my m8 gave me a iphone that has been blocked by the network is there anyway i can get around this? it still works i can still get internet an stuff but cnt make any calls.

    will the unlocking/jailbreak work??

    any help would be appreciated!

    simply? .. no .. it's been reported lost or stolen and every network will have it on the banned list.

    If you happen to get caught with it you can be charged with handling stolen goods.. best thing to do is sell it to a shady phone shop for parts.

    the block is only uk only is it not? so i will try and sell it to some 1 in the states!

    I think we use different frequencies.. lots of European region phones will not work in North America. ..

    handling this phone however obtained is actually illegal as it is now on a stolen/lost list.. i.e not in the possession of the legal owner. As the UK and USA now share all kinds of criminal intelligence.. and a phone sent overseas will most surely attract the attention of customs at the very minimum.. best course is to either hand it in to police and claim you found it somewhere (and you don't match a description of a mugger or anything).. if they clear it then it could be legally yours if not claimed... or a back street unscrupulous person. I don't want to know where it came from.. too much info..
