Hi guys-- I am capturing with a TDK Indicapture through my VCR. The quality is perfect. It play smoothly and amazing. I capture with Arcsoft's Showbiz, which came with it, and it too works perfectly. However, when I load the mpegs into Premiere and edit, everything is always choppy and blocky. I have tried exporting the finished product in every type of file, but no dice. I want to be able to export as an mpeg, wmv, or avi, so that I can go back into Showbiz and burn it. Any help would be appreciated. My comp is a brand new Dell and works wicked fast, so the problem is somewhere in Premeire methinks. Thanks! Xander1010@hotmail.com
the blocky started during the import process ? i know premier doen't like mpeg4, but don't know about anything else as i don't have it. but most people would convert them to uncompressed with huffyuv or mjpeg first and load it up. but i would use a frameserver. exporting using any mpeg4 codec would result in crappy result, premiere isn't good at those thing ? again export as huffyuv. then use gknot or autogknot or virtualdub to encode it into divx/xvid
