blu ray drive question

    hi, any help would be great!!!
    my pc isnt up to the specs to have an internal blu ray drive, (motherboard and video card)
    can i still use a usb blu ray drive just to back up my blu rays so i can transfer them to my usb enabled blu ray player with external hdd and play them in say mkv on my tv in the lounge?????????

    what is the specs of your computer? do you have usb 1.1 or usb 2 on your motherboard?

    motherboard has usb2.0

    did a cyberlink scan to see if my pc was compatible here are the results
