once the new blu-ray is released does that mean we are all going to have to go out and buy a completely new system so we can play these discs that the companies want us to buy... Sure it will have higher quality but what the f*ck is rong with sticking to dvd's cause as soon as the blu-ray is released, f*ck the DVD disc, we will only be able to buy these blu-ray discs... DVD will become the tape of today... if they release these, wont we have to wait a couple of months for software developers to make programs to backup these 'blu-ray' discs... i am saying this because i am pretty f*cking pi**ed that we are going to have to work our asses off just to pay for a new system to play these stupid f*cking blu-ray discs... And i am pi**ed of that software producers that have spent so much time and effort on current programs that they are goint to have to start from scratch for their software and we will be back in the prototype age... also, we who hold the licences for these "going to be outdated softwares" will have to purchase new software after waiting months for it to be developed... please post your opinions... I feel better now that i have expressed myself
well first of all i don't have to buy nothing! I will wait and see what actually happens as I am perfectly fine where im at. im not the first to jump at the newest and greatest thing just cause these high end developers says so. I would rather wait it out then jump right in and waist money. Blue ray, X-ray, blue men....VHS RULES!
there should be no reason for concern since dvds will be here for a long time, look at vhs, they are still kick'n (barely) but look how long it took for vhs to become absolet. I see no worries, but thats just me.
i agree. dvds aren't going to be replaced by umd or blu-ray, more likely dvd would be replaced by hd-dvds but even that seems like a very long shot. but this isn't my concern. my concern is with backing up ps3 games. i'm posing that people would have to get a blu-ray burner and blu-ray dvdrs. i'm not sure if thats the case because i'm not that familiar with how blu-ray is produced.
what you are all saying is what i am trying to say... That they should have stuck with what works... PS: i am too young to have ever even been to a drive in movie, what were they like <?>
ddp actually Beta was the better format over vhs but vhs was marketed better and won over BTW i still have a Beta machine thats works fine
drive in movies are cool. last time i went to one i was 13-14...1'm 22 and i need to head out to one next spring with a girl. just say i've had sex at a drive in
