    Guys....i need some help !!!!

My friend's pc has got a case of the dredded random "blue screen of death". The pc is not more than 2 years old running a Celeron 2.4 CPU, 256 ddr 333 ram, win XP.

Every now and then ( seems real random ) the screen goes blue with an error saying something about "A serious error has occured and will now shut down" ( also loads more text but cant remember what ) then it reboots itself.

I have shut off the onboard sound as that was making the pc hang and i installed a PCI card and all was fine for 3 days....then the problem returned.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.
( p.s the temp is steady at about 45-48 degrees )

reseat the ram & all cards but use a white or pink eraser on the gold edge contacts to remove oxidation. reseat all power & data cables to drives & motherboard. make certain all fans are spinning correctly & the heatsinks are clean of dust. what size is your psu??
