    Ok, some blurays come in vc1 format, the xbox plays vc1. Can i just extract the m2ts files and put them in a wmv or asf container? Do they still require conversion?

    Still need to be converted, the VC-1 on bluray is different than the VC-1 for WMV. VC-1 on bluray is the advanced profile, which is not compatible. I use WMVmuxer to convert these type of files to the proper wmv container. Use TSmuxer to create a movie.ts (video only in ts container) file and a audio.ac3 (raw audio) file. Mux them together with WMVmuxer using the HD-DVD profile in WMVmuxer. Conversion will take at least 20 hours depending on your machine, but comes out great. And don't forget to downconvert the HD audio to AC3 (or DTS) in TSmuxer.

    Hi;

    What filters do I need for this purpose?

    I have tsmuxer, WMVmuxer on Vista 32 Bit SP1.

    I extracted .VC1 and .AC3 files from .M2TS by tsmuxer. Then with WMVMuxer, I choose [WVC1]HD-DVD 12Mbps.prx. It starts to encode but it doesn't go on. It stays at 23/1989340 frames after 30 mins it says it's completed. When I look at the encoded file, it's a 1 second WMV file. How can I solve this problem ?

    Thanks.

    Hi acme64,

    Thanks for your answer.

    What are the settings you are using in Expression Encoder 2 like Frame Rate, Key Frame Interval, Profile, Mode, Bitrate(average)?

    I just leave the default settings. I don't know enough to set everything manually.
