Hi all! I'm new here,so I hope i'm on the right thread.A dvd made from dv camcorder I thought was ok,turned out with washed out images and blurry whenever the scene panned,or moved quickly.I don't have back up for these,as the dv tape was taped over.I used files from a cyberlink trial program, kept them then edited with abobe pro, then burnt with nerovision express.I know I've put them through too many processes(avi to mpeg and back etc)and too many programs. The files play back perfectly through nero, but burn the same poor quality, even though the burn settings are correct.(high quality PAL) My question is,can I fix these movies,or get them fixed? thanks jeff
Is this the MPEG files? Assuming that as of now you have an mpeg file that looks ok when played on the PC? When burned to DVD, it is blurred and washed out. When the DVD is played back on the PC, is it blurred and washed out? Can you take the mpeg (which looks ok) and convert it to DVD, but save the output to the hard disk instead of burning? Play the output folder with a media player (VLC or Media Player Classic) and see if it's ok.
Thanks for your replyAttar. I've tried what you suggested( save to hard disc, etc),but no luck in final burn.Ididn't reply sooner as I've tried many things.different media players for playback etc.what I did find was when trying to burn with Pinnacle studio 10 instead of NERO,it came up as 'render error' and wouldn't go any further. The files APPEAR ok(not great on detailed inspection) on media players, and I think I've probably rendered them incorrectly.I was using different programs originally and am pretty sure there is a rendering interlace fault here.am looking for some downloadable 'fixes',but feel I've made a mess I cant clean up.these movies are from a trip to Vietnam, and are unfortunately irreplaceable.any futher ideas most welcome
Do you still have AVI files? http://www.100fps.com/ If you read this link, about 2/3 down it explains how to load an AVI and apply a de-interlace filter that might help. Once the three(free)programs are installed, a text file is created with notepad, which refers to the location of the AVI file that has to be processed (it's easier to put the file in the root directory, thus c:\myfile.avi). The filter is applied and the output saved as a new avi file.
