Booktype/bitsetting

I hooked up a LG-GSA-5163,External to my laytop to burn some movies,while I am down here in Florida for the winter. I set the booktype and burned some good movies. When I turned of the Computer, and came back the next day, I started to burn ,thinking every thing was OK. well behold I got a coaster. The Booktype went back to Normal,went in and reset it and works good. Two days latter It did the same thing, Do I have to REset the Booktype on a External, Every time I shut down the computer,or is there a way to set it and don`t have to worry about COASTERS.At home in Ohio my desktop is all set and I didn`t think about booktype till hooked up my Laptop. Any help you can give will be greatful. Thanking You In Advance..
