I've checked the bios book from front to back and no mention of how to set it to boot to cd. So with my floppy fried, I got an external floppy, and it won't go to that. I set it in the bios but it still won't do it.
How old is that computer? If it is less than 6 or 7 years old, you should be able to set the boot priority in the BIOS to get it to look at the CD drive first. Is your CD drive an internal drive? What operating system are you using?
the computer is 6 years old, internal cd rom, I'm using xp home It doesn't let me set priority boot 1.removable device- set to usb fdd 2.IDE hard drive- set to my hd 3.atapi cd rom- set to my cd rom 4.other boot device disabled (options are scsi boot device, int18 device network or disabled) and thats it
