Hi I have a problem with both drives on my computer. They do not read any type of disc. I have tried everything, i tried cd gone, i checked the upperfilters/lowerfilters and a couple of other fixing tools. But still doesn't work i even opened it up checked the cables, i unplugged them plugged back in and checked inside the drives and they were completely clean. I am guessing this a problem on the software side of things, the only burning software i have is nero 7, what do i do now? Thanks Connor
Did you try going into 'Device Manager' and uninstalling them, then 'Scan for Hardware Change'? Also in Device Manager, uninstall the controller that they are connected to and rebooting? (if they are on IDE, probably the Secondary). Remote possibility that in the PC bios, the controllers are not set on 'Automatic'.
