My sons almost new ds lite bottom screen appeared to stop working properly, almost as though no backlight it was very dark and flickery and looked as though the resolution had dropped down. I replaced the screen with a known working one and the problem is still there! you can see the screen and play the games but it is not easy, apart from changing the motherboard is there anything else i can try?

I believe there are 2 trimming pots - be very careful as I have never used them but I have seen where others have solved flickering ect by moving them. I would suggest moving each on a tiny amount up and down and see if it has any effect. Sorry I don't know any more info but hope it helps

one last point, im told that the wifi also had stopped working on the ds with the screen fault but changing the wifi unit didnt fix it (
