broadband speeds

    hi ive just recently 3 weeks ago upgraded from 2mb to 10mb speed but im only getting betwen 1.7 and 2 mb does anyone know roughly what speeds i should be getting as i realise ill probberly not hit the 10mb but should it be more than im getting. cheers

    Yes if you subscribed to get 10 meg then you should get at least 8.
    The problem is that your provider hasn't updated your broadband yet so you need to contact them.

    are you supposed to be getting 10 mega BYTES or mega BITS?

    It could be the cables in your area. I'm suppose to be getting 30mb download but I am only getting 10mb because of my areas dodgy cables.
