Hi unable to play the avi I captured today via my tvtuner card. I used Xvid codec and standard PCM audio. I used several utilities like divxfix, avi fixer, all media fixer but none were able to recognize the file. and gspot informationn is as belo. Pls help
Have you done this before and had a playable avi? There is no codec listed in GSpot, nor any audio. And ffdshow has no clue as to what to do. The file appears worthless.
I have no problem in playing other xvid files. ffdshow is not installed but xvid vfw is installed. Also I tried vlc but even that didn't identify this file. Actually the tv tuner software crashed after 2 hrs of capture and it left the file locked in some state. I wonder whether if I could get recovered for some editing. The avi fixers are not identifying this file as an AVI. Vdub didn't open either.
