    Hello,
I am new here but I have been very happy at how much the guides here have helped me.
However, I am at a huge brick wall that no topic seems to be able to put a ding in.
I have a softmodded xbox with stock harddrive.
But my Ethernet/LAN/Crossover port is dead...

So thus I can not FTP into it and have resorted to CD'Rs for getting files TO the xbox and well.. nothing to get it from.

I am wondering if it is possible to FTP via a usb cord and usb adapter?
    For instence:
    [XBOX]<--[usb adapater]--<---[usb cord]--->[PC]

Also, I have a USB hub with:
PS2 Gamecube Xbox, and 2 usb ports in it.
Can I connet this to a USB-->Xbox Conroller Port and use it?
Is there a limit to how many devices will work at a time if so?

    Okay well thanks in advance.
Hope my grammer and spelling is alright, I am a 15 year old Japanese.
Raised from 12 in America ;)

    And yes. Sony Blow ;)

The LAN on your xbox is dead? Have you ftp into the xbox before? You first need to troubleshoot. If you have no LED activity coming from the ethernet connector you need to check your dashboard settings and PC LAN configuration. The settings on your pc must of changed not allowing you to connect.

Is a crossover cord a system link cord?
If so then yeah, my port is completly dead.
We tried 5 different cords to try and play system link halo 2.

    No LEDS lighting up.
No connection for system link =|

You could try replacing the LAN port, if you can find a broken xbox (one thats FRAG would be ok) and just unclip the port and remove the solder. Failing that replace the mother board (check ebay for cheap ones with broken hdd or dvd)
