    Hi,
BenQ surprises once again, However unless your going all out DL (or already virtually DL only), This upgrade won't do much for you. In fact early indications suggest stick with what you've got.

Improve the writing quality for Double Layer Disc "

I wonder if this new firmware will allow writing to Ritek DVD+ DL. I have a spindle collecting dust I would like to use...

BSQB does [bold]not[/bold] address the writing quality of Ritek DVD+ DL media. The burn still fails at the layer break.

I'll continue to stick with Verbatim DVD+ DL media, but I would hope BenQ would eventually support Ritek DL media.
