Just yesterday I gave my parents a Samsung TV I have replaced with a new model. TV is about 5 or so years old so the digital tuner is not saorview approved.

I never had it hooked up to analogue cable so it was never tuned. My parent still like living in the dark ages so I had to tune the TV in for them.

When tuning I decided to search for digital channels also, thinking it wouldn't work but lo and behold it found 14 digital channels.

Most of the channels dont work (TV says they are scrambled) but some do including BT Sport 2 HD, Sky Arts 2 HD and others I haven't had to chance to identify yet.

I have never seen this before. I know saorview does not have these channels and it is not a satellite (UPC cable) so where and how is it picking up these channels?

Has anyone come across this before?
