Hi, I'm thinking about building a computer with the parts I will list below. Could you guys please tell me if everything is compatible and if these parts will make a good computer? I was also wondering if the motherboard I am going to list has the audio, miicrophone, and USBs for the front of the PC? Also are all the parts needed included with what I'm buying? With the RAM I'm thinking about taking the out a 512 from the PC I have now and putting it into this one so thats not really a problem. Also I don't want to install a Floppy Drive since I don't have any use for it that's not a problem right? Thanks.

Looks like you have everything that you need to build it.The proccessor is OEM so it may not come with a heatsink and fan.You may need to buy a heatsink and fan for it.The hard drive is SATA and you need to load the SATA driver files from the motherboard cd to a floppy disk and press f6 when loading windows. Also you need to disable the IDE in bios in advanced peripherals.Other than that it looks like a good setup.

Hey, Thanks for your reply. This, as I mentioned, is my first time building a computer so I have a few more questions :). First I would like to ask if I buy the heatsink what else kind of fan do I need to buy? Because I went on this site http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1150404,00.asp and it says nothing about installing a fan just a heatsink and the heatsink looks like a fan and u plug it in to the motherboard to work. Also
would I need to do this the first time after installing the Windows OS on the hard drive? Also could I do this using a USB device or using the actually cd that came with the motherboard or would I need to install a floppy drive that I'm only going to use once? And finally why would I need to disable IDE if my cd-rom & dvd-rom and dvd-r/w & cd-r/w are IDE? Thanks again a lot for your reply and help. :D

I paid PCClub to set up my SATA hard drive but here is what gigabyte gave me for instructions on configuring the drive.

    Dear customer,

Please follow these steps to install windows when you’re trying to use the Nvidia native SATA RAID controller (RAID 0, RAID 1)

    1. Under “integrated Peripherals” option, select the “IDE function setup” option, and ENABLE the “SATA Primary Master RAID”, and “SATA Secondary RAID”.

    2. Under “Integrated Peripherals” be sure the “Serial-ATA 2 (internal PHY) option
    Is ENABLE

    3. At the main BIOS screen, go to the “ Advanced BIOS feature” to set the boot sequence as follow:
CDROM 1st boot device, Hard disk as second boot device, and floppy as 3rd boot device.

    4. Go back to the Main BIOS screen and select the “ Save and exit setup” option,
Press “enter” and select “Y” and press enter again to save the new CMOS settings.

    5. Be sure to set the “hard disk priority” to “SCSI 0” under “Advance BIOS
    Features”

    6. During the system reboot, you will be prompted to press “F10” to go into the
Nvidia’s RAID utility. Press F10 at that moment and follow the instructions within the Nvidia RAID utility to create RAID 0 or RAID 1 there.
Note: Press “Enter key” for details, Press “D” to delete RAID, Press “C” to clear disk data, Press “ right arrow key” to add drive into “RAID ARRAY” disk, Press “Tab” key to move to different categories, Tab over to the “ RAID mode” and press “enter” to define “RAID”, Press “F7” to finish/save the RAID settings, Press “Control – X “ to exit the RAID utility.

    7. Boot system up with the Windows CD, press F6 when you’re prompted, and
Insert the floppy disk driver disk into the floppy drive to load the Nvidia RAID drivers (you need to load the “Nvidia RAID class driver” and “Nvidia Nforce storage controller” drivers). . AGAIN, you need to install both drivers from the floppy and once again, they are: “Nvidia RAID class driver” and “Nvidia Nforce Storage Controller” drivers

    8. To create the 3rd party driver disk, please follow these steps:
    Note:
You need the motherboard CD, a blank diskette, and a working PC to create a driver disk.

    1. Place the motherboard CD into a working PC.
    2. Place the blank floppy into the floppy drive.
    3. On the motherboard CD, go to " BOOTDRV" folder, and to "Menu" file, double click on the "menu" file, and choose the driver that you need to make by pressing the number /letter key. For instance, if you want to create a Nvidia native RAID driver disk, and the correspondence option for the driver is letter "E", all you need to do is press "E” on the keyboard, and the PC will copy the driver files onto the diskette for you automatically.

    On the new PC:
During the windows installation process, you'll be given a chance to load the 3rd party driver(s) (the installation will prompt you to press "F6"), press "F6" a few times and it's continue on copying files up to the point where system will ask you for the 1.4mb floppy disk. Place the diskette into the machine, press "S", press "enter key" and select the Nvidia RAID Class driver. When it’s done copying the first driver, go through the same previous procedure to install the “Nvidia Nforce Storage Controller” driver, and follow the instructions on the monitor to complete the O/S installation. After the O/S is installed, you should install the mother drivers by placing the mother driver CD into the PC and select the "Express Installation" option and click on the "Go" button.

I hope this helps for the hard drive.

you'll need to find a heatsink and fan for that pin number for the processor and thermal paste.Artic silver is the best.Or if you buy the retail processor it comes with a heatsink and fan and thermal tape on the bottom of the heatsink.Try tigerdirect or compusa for searching on that.

That website you posted with the heatsink and fan on the top is what you need.It has two levers and it's easy to install on a P4 board.Sorry if I keep posting to much.
