First of all what do you want to do with the computer? Do you want to play games? Do video editing? Just having a plain computer?

I see you have SOME idea of the parts. The Antec 900 is a good case, and the Q6600 is a good choice. Unfortunately in that budget you cant afford the High end Asus motherboard, and for the more budget based motherboard I would recommend a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R instead. Also you DONT want 4 sticks of ram. If you want 4GB then get 2x2GB sticks.

Also they have a updated version of the Raptor out. I would still recommend just sticking with a regular 7200RPM drive. Something like this.

The 150GB Raptors are unreliable and nasty, especially the X versions. There's a 300GB velociraptor out, but on your budget it's just not realistic. I own an HD753LJ and confirm they're great drives, use one of those. The case choice is fine (though an NZXT Tempest is a similarly styled offering that's generally a bit better). The CPU is fine, use Abuzar's motherboard, it's better than cheap Asus boards by a long way. Also use 2x2GB of RAM, it just makes more sense these days.

Have you considered what graphics card you're going to use?
I typically recommend Corsair PSUs, but which one depends on which GPU you use.
Sony/NEC Optiarcs are good DVD Writers.
