Hey, I need some help building a PC. I know my way around computers very well except I'm a complete idiot when it comes to choosing the parts that work together.

Now i need to be budget conscious, I need to keep it under 1200$.

Now I'm looking for a gaming PC, I'm more of a media oriented person.
I need a decent graphics card that would let me connection my PC to my HDTV via HDMi, (I heard the ATI HD's where good..). I need a lot of storage (I was thinking of the new 1TB WD or seagate drives, I heard a lot of nasty things about the samsung F1's). I'm looking for a very fast cpu (quad maybe> q6600?) and at least 3 or 4GB of ram. Suggestions for the psu and case would be great too :)

I'm from canada so I'm going to order from newegg.ca...

    thanks in advance :D

When I build my computers I always start by choosing my motherboard first. Then pick out my RAM and CPU. most sites will have a specs tab and allow you to see what CPUs and RAM types are compatible with your system. As far as case and PSU. I have always been a huge fan of Coolermaster cases and Corsair PSUs. There are tons of cases and PSUs out there that are great and really it is up to preference. Also, I always look for the bundle deals. One time I was able to save $80 on a case and CPU combo.
